Does my child need to be toilet trained? No. Your child does not need to be toilet trained. We have changing facilities in our restrooms. You will need to have diapers, wipes, change mat and extra clothes (including shoes;)) in case of accidents. Keep these in your child's schoolbag so they are there each time your child attends school.
What is a Volunteer Parent? A volunteer parent is a parent who is scheduled to participate in the school morning that their child attends. The parent must provide a police screening with vulnerable sector check, and updated immunization records with clear TB test. They are given tasks throughout the morning to help the program run smoothly and to participate in their child's day.
How often do I have to be a Volunteer Parent? You will rotate with the other parents in your child's class. Parents will have approximately two volunteer days per month.
Do I need to bring a snack for my child while they are at school? No. Snack is provided for each child. The children in the two year old program are required to bring their own sippy cup that they can use at school.
Can I bring my child's sibling when it's my volunteer day? Unfortunately we can only have registered children participate in the program. You will need to find care outside the preschool for any other children not in the program.
What if I can't show up for my scheduled volunteer day? If the day is inconvenient, you may trade it with someone else in your class. Volunteer schedules are arranged on a monthly basis and you can let the scheduler know your availability ahead of time.
